My Blogging Christmas Gifts!

This is my fourth year participating in a book blogger gift exchange and my first year participating in The Broke and Bookish Secret Santa! What a blast!

My gifts arrived yesterday from Rachel at Paperbacklover.net and I LOVE them! Thank you so much for your thoughtful gifts – I am so excited! She sent me two cozy mysteries off my wishlist, encouragement word magnets, and two bookmarks with awesome, inspiring quotes. I LOVE those kinds of things and collect inspiring/encouraging words on Pinterest. They help push me in my running and weight loss goals, so these gifts are PERFECT and I couldn’t be happier! Thanks again, Rachel – you were spot on!

The books:

The Big Kitty by Claire Donally

Murder for Choir by Joelle Charbonneau.

The bookmarks say:

“BELIEVE. If you believe you can do it, you can.”

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

I also received another special gift from a blogging friend for Christmas! Laura over at Book Snob and I are book buddies. At the beginning of the year, I put out a call for a book buddy – someone I could email back and forth with to talk about books, and hold each other accountable in our reading goals. Laura and I have been emailing regularly all year and have become good friends who talk about books and life. We decided to exchange gifts and it was so fun looking at each other’s wishlists and thinking of gifts for each other! I am honored to have her as a friend and LOVE my gifts! She sent me three books from my wishlist and a beautiful scarf that she made me (seen in the picture). She was also thoughtful enough to send dog treats for my Dakota (which he loved), bookmarks, and a lovely card (which are not pictured). Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Laura, and I look forward to another year of friendship!

The books:

The Faceless by Simon Bestwick

The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh

Barefoot in the Sand by Roxanne St. Clair
