Summary: Lissette Moncrief is a struggling recent widow with a small child. She’s finding it hard to celebrate Christmas. It gets even harder after she accidentally smashes her car into a pickup truck belonging to the handsome Rafferty Jones. What she doesn’t realize at the time is that he is in town to meet her and return her share of a windfall that doesn’t rightly belong to him. His half-brother just happens to be Lissette’s deceased husband and Rafferty feels he should give Lissette the money that was left to him. Will sparks fly between broken-hearted Lissette and the handsome new stranger?
My Thoughts: This was a really cute story, romance style: beautiful girl with sad story meets handsome hero who wants to save her. I haven’t read a romance novel in a while, but Christmas is always a good time for a book you know will have a happy ending. I did read this before Christmas, but have just have not gotten around to writing the review. 🙁 Although Christmas is in the title, it’s not so Christmassy that you couldn’t read it any time. If you are a fan of the romance genre, you would definitely like this and I’d recommend it for any time of the year. This is the third book in a series, but read perfectly fine as a stand alone. I plan on reading Lori Wilde’s other books now!
My Rating: 3.5/5
