Summary: Melanie is a successful metal sculptor whose husband has just left her for another woman. Her high school reunion is coming up and her best friend, BJ, desperately wants her to go. Although she is reluctant to go, a new e-mail flirtation with a former classmate convinces her to go and see what happens. Is a fun road trip (despite her highway driving phobia) with her best friend and possibly rekindling an old flame what she needs to restart her life?
My Thoughts: I loved this book and read it in one evening! I could really identify with Melanie (not the husband leaving part), but I am also not fond of highway driving. I’ve read and enjoyed Claire Cook’s other novels (Wallflower in Bloom was also awesome) and her characters are so likable that you want to jump in the story and hang out with them for awhile. The characters are also easy to relate to and the idea of high school reunions are both exciting and scary. I plan on reading the rest of Claire’s novels that I haven’t read yet, and will read any new books she puts out too. I would definitely recommend this for a fun summer read!
My Rating: 4.5/5
