My stomach looks a lot smaller in the picture this week. I’m guessing I’m not as bloated as I have been in the past couple of weeks. I was kind of worried, but we JUST got back from our 14 week ultrasound and doctor’s appointment and everything was good! I drank some OJ beforehand too, to try and get the baby to move so Jerry could see. The baby did in fact move a lot! The tech was shocked… she said, “I’m not sure who the baby gets this from since you both seem pretty calm!” Haha! We had a quick tummy check with the doctor and heard the (fast) heartbeat – very cool. I’ll go back in late August for my 18 week appointment, then finally our 20 week anatomical ultrasound when we’ll finally find out the gender! Wahoo!
I had a pretty good week last week, as far as not feeling too sick. The last couple of days I started to feel a bit bad again though, and I felt sick in the mornings. The sickness went away though, so I’m glad I went to work and pushed through it! I had my “Pregnancy Pop Drops,” and just tried to take things easy. I continue to feel out of breath though and pant like I used to when I was obese when I go up the stairs again sometimes lol. My legs also ache on and off. I forgot to ask the doctor about that today…
I keep waking up and seeing if I’ve popped yet, but I don’t think so! My stomach has definitely gotten larger and rounder, but I still think I’m in that “is she pregnant or just fat?” phase. I’ve read that the stomach usually pops in the 14th week, so we’ll see. I’m actually kind of excited for this to happen so that I will definitely just look pregnant and not like I’ve gained all my weight back! Ha!
My eating is fine. In fact, it’s better than fine and I feel constantly like I need to slow it down. I am VERY self-conscious about the weight gain, as you probably have already gathered, and I know I’ve gained more than I should have at this point. I just feel hungry all the time though, so it’s tough!
And just because I’ll want to know what life was like during all of this… lately, I’ve been watching the show Awkward on DVD when hubby is at work at night. We’ve been watching Masters of Horror together on DVD when he’s home. I’m also binge watching Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix. I really like all of these shows! I’ve also been going to concerts with my parents on some Wednesday nights. We saw a Zac Brown Tribute Band a couple of weeks ago who were phenomenal! They are having concerts at one of the local parks (Barnard) and at the beach. This has been fun while hubby is at work and I’m lonely! We also got ceiling fans/lights installed in the living room and nursery yesterday, and also purchased carpeting for the nursery. It’ll be a lot of fun to see the room start to come together!
